Origin: India
 
This stone comes from the Narmada River in Onkar, Mandhata, and has brown tones with red streaks. Its markings, which are said to represent those on Shiva’s forehead, are also said to have been implanted in the riverbed by meteorites millions of years ago.
 
The Shiva lingam symbolizes both masculine and female energies, as well as the cosmic egg from whence all creation began. The design as an introspective stone makes it a strong energy generator appropriate for healing, assisting the user to accept and let go of unpleasant sentiments and emotions during meditation, healing, and protection.
