Libyan Desert Glass (LDG), also known as Great Sand Sea Glass, is a rare and powerful natural impact glass found in the Sahara Desert, primarily in western Egypt and eastern Libya. Formed approximately 29 million years ago, this pale yellow to golden-yellow stone is believed to have been created by an intense meteorite impact or airburst that melted desert sand at extremely high temperatures, fusing it into nearly pure silica glass. Often referred to as Moldavite’s “sister stone,” LDG carries a high-vibration energy connected to transformation, ancient wisdom, and spiritual awakening.
